About the Artist
My creative process begins with research on a place or location where I might find good subjects. Once I have chosen a place. I take time looking for the best perspective, angles where the light has the best effect and what time of day would have the most beneficial light. The photo of Sand and Clouds is a good example. The camera was set up to catch the sunrise, the composure was set to capture specific angles and the shadows created by the sun. The part that is most difficult is the sky, in this case. Fortune was with me when the clouds came in to create a dramatic sky. The last part is making certain all the settings are correct and then shoot. It is basically about bringing the image that I see and love and producing it to share. Lives and works in Chapel Hill, NC.
