Experience Janet Echelman’s creative journey through an original live sound performance by Neda Bostani. From quiet tones inspired by Echelman’s early drawings and textiles to layered rhythms reflecting her monumental net sculptures, Bostani combines handpan, Persian daf, percussion, voice, and natural sounds. The journey closes with contemplative sounds inspired by light, inviting visitors to explore movement, interconnectedness, and transformation through listening and imagination.

About Neda Bostani
With a PhD in theoretical physics and a career in data and insights, Neda Bostani brings a lifelong curiosity about observation and inquiry into her work with music, mindfulness, and art. A percussionist for more than 25 years, she began with the Persian daf and now plays handpan, djembe, frame drum, and other percussion. Drawing on a long-standing mindfulness practice, she creates and facilitates sound journeys and contemplative experiences that weave together percussion, breath, silence, and sustained attention. Her work invites people to slow down, listen deeply, and notice what arises within and around them: a sound, an image, a sensation, an emotion, or an inner response, creating space for connection, self-inquiry, and a deeper encounter with art and self.
