About the Artist

I started by sketching out the composition of the painting, focusing on the placement of the umbrellas and the overall mood of the rainy scene. Next, I chose my color palette, selecting a range of shades to capture the dreary atmosphere of the rain and the vibrant colors of the umbrellas. I then began painting the background, using varying brushstrokes to create the feeling of raindrops falling from the sky. Once the background was complete, I added in the umbrellas, carefully blending the colors to create a sense of depth and movement. Finally, I added in any final details, such as people carrying the umbrellas, to bring the painting to life. Overall, my goal with this painting was to capture the feeling of being caught in a rain shower, with the colorful umbrellas providing a splash of cheer in an otherwise gloomy scene.
