About the Artist

I have been fascinated by astronomy and space since I was very young and this is a way of portraying my interests of the universe to others. These are photographs taken by Me (Not Hubble) with my telescope and cameras. The images I produce are derived of particles of light traveling millions of years from distant worlds being captured through a telescope by the CCD chip of my camera. This is a technical art involving science and artistic creativity to produce images of objects distant and larger than most of us can even imagine. I believe this is a way to reveal the wonders of the universe and the sense that we are only a small part of a grand design and our ability to explore this new world is only just beginning. I have been producing astrophotography for the last 12 years. I have had many of my images published in magazines, books, movies, museum exhibits, and websites (including NASA). This is art that brings a new perspective to our relationship with the Universe. Lives and works in Connellsville, PA.
