About the Artist
I create sustainably small art. Often drawing inside only an inch or two, I'm inspired by the challenge of creating more with less. Created with non-toxic materials for 4"x4" framing, my miniature art demonstrates how constraints can enhance creativity while encouraging sustainability. I am inspired by a wide range of subjects from nature (trees, birds, etc.) to human-made things (architecture, cityscapes, ships, etc); however, my favorite subjects are independent bookstores such as my drawing of Blacksburg Books. Along with enjoying the challenge of capturing the fine details of bookshelves, I like to help amplify the unique character of local bookstores.
