About the Artist

I begin by creating a line drawing outdoors. Back in the studio the line drawing is used as a point of inspiration to begin the painting. First, a charcoal drawing is made on the canvas and sealed with acrylic polymer. Then working with oil paint I build many layers of color and texture. Cold wax, glazes and a wide variety of mark making tools are used to create depth and visual interest.
