About the Artist

I begin with a section of wood log that I personally harvest from the forest floor. This piece is shaped on a lathe with specialized cutting tools. After rough shaping, I do an initial hollowing. The piece is then stabilized for the drying process through special procedures. Once dry, I refine the shape on the lathe and thin out the sides through more hollowing. I then sand and finish each piece with 5-6 coats of epoxy resin. Once the finish is cured, I work it to the desired sheen then its ready to show and sell.

 Based in Acworth, GA.
