About the Artist
My hand tooled belts are built to last a lifetime and look good doing it. I carve and stamp into the leather a range of designs including animals/nature scenes as seen on the belt photos I have submitted. Each project starts by drawing the pattern directly onto the leather, then wetting the leather and casing it, before cutting in each line drawn. From there I use each of the 15-20 stamping tools needed to work my way through the pattern and bring the sketch to life. In the case of a belt I will do any dye/color work required, then attach a liner, and stitch the edge before punching holes and adding the buckle.
