About the Artist
My kiln- fused glass oil candles include a metallic texture "hero" element and utilize a "white space (strong color) is my friend" design paradigm. The "glass river" design utilizes the undulating shapes of glass rolled edges and turns them inward. The organic negative space is filled with a dichroic frit that maintains its vibrancy and texture at the full fuse temperature which renders the color field of glass molten. Candle tiles are cold-worked with my signature corner bevel, fire-polished, drilled for the glass wick, and Hxtal-glued to the oil reservoir.
