About the Artist
I create heavy textured mixed media paintings using acrylic paint, papers, fabric, metal foils and various objects including interesting stones, minerals, and natural semiprecious gems. My painting submitted titled “Dry Creek” contains a beautiful polished piece of jasper that I purchased at a gem show.
Heavily-textured mixed media abstract painting allows me to express unconventional and emotional view of the world. My paintings often reflect not what I see exactly but what I feel, what I'm thinking, and what music is playing in my studio or in my head. Patterns in nature often inspire me
