About the Artist
My focus has always been to photograph the essence of a place whether it be the physical or the cultural landscape. In doing that, I also want to show a fleeting moment that is very unique. Much of that is revolved around the light that I try to capture. In a recent trip to Namibia, in Africa, I spent days wandering through an old diamond mind ghost town that had been long abandoned and was slowly being consumed by the desert. The shots show the amazing light I was able to get because of patience. It’s been a trademark of my work. Lives and works in Glenwood, IA.
