About the Artist
As a collage artist, I explore the interplay between the natural world and human creation. I make visual stories by purposefully tearing and layering scenic and floral wallpapers. I take inspiration from old scientific illustrations, especially those showing human anatomy. The torn fragments in my work represent the intricate link between our surroundings and our bodies, creating a lively interplay between nature's appeal and human anatomy.
Influenced by the charm of vintage scientific illustrations, my collages showcase carefully chosen wallpapers that add vibrant energy to the story. I encourage viewers to think about the mutual relationship between our bodies and the environment, using torn fragments as symbols for our experiences and the tie between our physical selves and the world.
My collages explore the blend of nature, human creation, and anatomy visually. It prompts contemplation on the cyclical nature of time, the changing connection between humanity and the environment, and the enduring beauty in the mix of natural and anatomical elements.
