About the Artist
In more than fifty years of artistic career, I naturally integrate my rich personal oriental cultural heritage with contemporary elements of modern art to create a unique artistic style: the truth is on the canvas. I have tried to make paintings that reach beyond the events of here and now, that engage with universal themes - more in tune with the evanescent mysteries of times and space. Each of my paintings invites the viewer into its fictional space and inspires contemplation and personal connections along a remote trail of memory.
In my creative process, I work as hard and with as much diligence to the painting's surfaces, using a rich textural-layer after layer, to hold the eye in close-up as much as from a distance. Sometimes, I employ red brushstrokes to infuse dynamism into the canvas, breaking free from static compositions. Emphasizing the central power of the artwork. Like a poem, the paintings are emotional spaces waiting for the viewers to enter, carrying their own thoughts, dreams and memories with them. Those paintings all ultimately culminate in a subtly realized light of hope.
