About the Artist

Each piece starts out as a transparent canvas. The first stroke of paint that I apply sets the tone for the multiple layers that draw the viewer in. This is an unforgiving process as every stroke is permanent. I execute this ancient medium by honoring its history, but adding techniques that I have been developing in the dance between the art piece and myself. Each piece is an outpouring from my inner depths. I believe in the healing role that art plays in the internal growth that we all seek. My desire is for the viewer to connect on an emotional level. It is incredibly rewarding to frequently hear how my work makes people happy. I consider this a worthy mission. Everything is about communication. I believe that we all desire to connect. Connecting art, the viewer, and the personality of space is where my interest lies. I acknowledge the power of all colors and their capacity to elicit an array of emotional responses. Since embarking on my artistic journey I have actively volunteered for multiple art organizations with the intention of making art more accessible to everyone.
