About the Artist

I am a figurative artist and use a unique medium- fabric - for many of my portraits. I sketch the outline lightly with a pencil and then literally "painted" with fabric by cutting and gluing fabric pieces with polymer medium- fine collage. I tell the history and story of the individual in many portraits. I also have a repertoire of mixed media works with fabric, paint, paper and pastels. I have done many commissions and am always available to do both figurative and landscape work in my unique medium. I am heavily influenced by my Asian Indian heritage and my work in international development in my art work.

Based in Vienna, Virginia
