About the Artist
My paintings are all oils, painted plein air and translated to larger canvases in the studio. These paintings are close views of the intricacies of surfaces and textures and light within the landscape. Complex variations of diverse techniques capture the textural "spirit" of the landscape. These paintings are about the poetry of the relationshionships that exist within the Compositions...the physical beauty of paint.
