About the Artist
As a ceramic artist, my passion lies in creating unique and captivating handmade pottery. Each piece I create is a labor of love, meticulously crafted to bring beauty and artistry to your everyday life. From traditional, contemporary and organic shapes with movement and texture, my creations are designed to enhance your home and provide a sense of joy and tranquility. Every piece I make is a reflection of my dedication to the craft and my commitment to creating something truly special. I believe that pottery has the power to evoke emotions and create connections, and I strive to capture that essence in every piece I create. My process begins with a vision, a spark of inspiration that guides me as I mold and shape the clay. I carefully consider every detail, from the texture and form to the color and glaze, ensuring that each piece is a work of art in its own right. Working with clay is a deeply meditative and therapeutic experience for me. I incorporate a variety of aesthetics into my work. The clay bodies I use are stoneware and porcelain. I create wheel thrown, hand-built, and thrown altered pieces. Application of surface treatments can include kintsugi, sgraffito, manipulation and carving. I use various glaze combinations and texture and finish with kiln firings that include electric, wood, salt, crystalline, and Raku.
