About the Artist
Description of my work. I create one of-a-kind writing instruments and various hand turned items All my works are created by me I chose different types of wood, I hand pour acrylics and items embedded in clear and colored resins to turn to create the bodies of my works. The material is cut to the length I need. A hole is drilled length wise for a brass tube to give the pen strength. The material is turned on my lathe, sanded and a finish applied as it is spinning. Different metal components are chosen that will complement the turned body. Titanium-gold, 22k gold, rhodium and platinum are used Items include Ballpoint, rollerball, and fountain pens. Also Office accessories, letter openers and magnifying glasses are hand turned on my lathe.
