About the Artist
I love playing with color and black. Geometric shape and wearability are key. I look at the women I see and design appropriately. Myinfluences are UkiyoE, modern Italian and Viennese expressions. Combine this with being a child of the 50's and 60's (mod fashion)and here I am. I doodle and make my own patterns. They are geometrically divided and require sewing skill. I make a sample andmake changes before sizing the pattern. All appliqués are hand cut and freely placed and sewn. Not easy on stretchy fabric! Theappliqué tunic is the only symmetrical top I make. The set of double appliqués running down the center require time and a steadyhand. It is a 6 step process. I made a shawl to go with it. Very limited production. All hand cut and stitched.
