About the Artist
Born into a family of three generations of Chinese painters, my ceramics are heavily influenced by my upbringing and experiences living in Japan and the United States. I create functional pottery that is either wheel thrown or slab built using stoneware and porcelain materials. Using my training in traditional Chinese brush painting, each piece is decorated with hand painted botanical illustrations and/or sculptured birds using underglazes.
Based in Crownsville, Maryland.
