About the Artist

“Through my work, I strive to capture the beauty of hope and change after devastation. This artistic process satisfies my search fortranquility.”

Superstorm Sandy, October 29, 2012, flooded my business and home. This disaster occurred when I was experiencing betrayal byregarding my sibling's aging mother and her finances. The storm loss was devastating; afterward, something remarkable happened:the community came together. This kindness rebuilt my life and inspired me. My neighbor, who knew I loved the water, repaired hisheated saltwater pool before the house and the rest of the property was repaired so that after a day of cleaning mud, going through, ripping out, throwing out, spraying mold control, and rebuilding I could end up in the pool at the end of a hard day. This was where the ethereal underwater images entered my thoughts. Persephone's grace transforms with fluidity in the water; it ishealing. The water, being near, on, in and by it offers peace, transformation and healing.
