About the Artist
By using paint, laminated layers of glass in combination with cast glass, optical crystal, and perhaps exotic stone such as Black Swedish granite and other materials of contrast I have been able to dive deeper into my creative self; creating a more kinetic and ever-changing sculpture. In essence the more complex it is the simpler it seems from afar when one notices and appreciates the magnitude of devotion that has gone into each piece. For example, the rotating sculpture named Pulse was inspired by a DNA strand and makes a full 180° rotation around the central axis. This piece in itself took over 7 months to make but from a distance it looks simple, clean and elegant. It is only when one studies it in detail that the true perfection of reflection and refraction is an amazing dance within the entirety of the work. I have dived deeper into the positive observations I sense and can this bring a more harmonious and true object to life. Lives and works in Naples, FL.
